Sorry, I mistated that (it was my last post before bed after a 13-hour workday!) -- the Clinton administration had lowered the limit on levels of arsenic in drinking water, and the current administration raised that level up some.
The drop in the arsenic level, from 50bpl to 10bpl will be physically impossible to meet on the local level unless the governmentcoughs up the cash, which Clinton failed to do, leaving it for the Bush administration to handle. Easy to sign on something, tougher to implement. Unfortunately, Clinton signed many bills and Presidential Directives, to make himself look good to environmentalists, etal, and harass the incoming administration, who will have to deal with their illegalities. Remember Marc Rich and company, and the kilo dope dealer, whose father became a large contributor to the Clinton cause, among others?? Clinton signed their pardons at midnight so they could not be questioned. Also the Rabbi's, let out of jail early for Hillary's run for the Senate. Seems to me they had misappropriated some 2 million dollars of government (our)money, for a good cause, of course. All part of Clinton's rancid departure.
