Okay. Time for step two. Which of the following are private acts? Assume all are done in the privacy of my bedroom with the curtains drawn.
1. Kissing my wife?
2. Having sex with my wife missionary style?
3. Having anal intercourse with my wife?
4. Having sex with my neighbor's wife?
5. Having sex with my neighbor's daughter, who is 18 years old?
6.Having sex with my neighbor's unmarried daughter, who is 17 years old and already the parent of two children by two different fathers, neither one me?
7. Having a glass of wine?
8. Making wine?
9. Smoking marijuana?
10. Using opium or cocaine?
Personally, I consider all of these private acts. As far as I know, all of them except having sex with my neighbor's wife were legal in 1776. (I don't think any states had anti-sodomy laws then, though I'm willing to be corrected.) In some states, 3 is still illegal. In many states, 6 is illegal. In all states, 7 used to be illegal during prohibition. In many states, 8 is illegal without a permit, and in some, I believe, is illegal period. In all states 9 and 10 are illegal. |
