If planning is Marxism, so be it. The Right's childish fear of Marxism has gotten very old.

And no, gov't planning is not an example of Marxism. Its an example of good governance. And fukk Ayn Rand and her nonsense.

Consumers will want cars that done run on gas, when it makes sense to have cars that don't run on gas. When that happens we won't need government programs to push such cars. Decades before that happens, such government programs create more costs and losses than gains.

We saw the right's reluctance to raise cafe standards and how that reluctance helped make the American industry uncompetitive with the rest of the world. Your version of free markets is killing us.
