Hi dq >> Sorry if I don't make sense, but I am quite frustrated.<<

Hi dq,

Long time no hear. Good to see you're still monitoring here.

I'd like to concur with your feelings also. Seems as though there are a lot of lurkers that have now become active on this thread. One comment up thread also frustrated me. That being, having to wait another 18 months before the stock firms on an absolute upturn.

I don't intend to wait that long (either way). I don't need this particular stock for tax loss reasons, but as I have been saying, I will see in the next 30-45 days what the "real" picture is going to be on Novell. If it doesn't break in December (for reasons other than
"numbers"), then it'll just be a carry-over for 1997.

As you say, and as I said the day of Q4, to put it in a nutshell;
"flat".

They need a new CEO, more urgency (I know Salah), and they need to
do it NOW! Not mid-97, not "in" 97, not we're going to do... not,
it's going to be this... etc. etc. They need to do what Paul Fiondella said in his post upthread, otherwise:

They're DEAD! Understand Gerald (from Novell)? That is a fact of life
for all the Novell people reading this thread. Ignore it if you will,
but it's a fact. If you don't believe me, and you don't take the proper actions, watch what happens to your company.

Regards, and good to hear from you again.

Joe...

PS: For the Novell people. If you really think the majority of shareholders in this company are going to sit around and just wait for you people to get your act together, going through quarter after quarter of disappointments, and perceptions of non-leadership and no vision, you certainly will see most if not all "bail" out, then you'll see the balance of the institutional holders (what there are of them), bail, and you WILL be trading at book and below.

If you want to see how that happened to a company, take a look at
Media Vision (remember them?) they were "second" to Creative Labs in multi-media. Also look at CompuAdd. Notice I didn't mention
Wang, or Dec (you aren't that big). But, I see similar patterns with
you and Media Vision.

Either act now, or live with it.
