How about Carter's decision to sanction the Soviet Union while they were already in decline after they invaded Afghanistan which escalated their downfall and his start for us to be energy independent of the middle east which Reagan so very unwisely stopped and set us back three decades. The Repugs have done nothing of value or usefulness that they can mention for three decades to benefit the country. They have however dramatically increased the country's debt and started senseless Wars on Ideas using the US Military which are bankrupting us and increasing the dangers to our country.
