Right now a 20+ VLSI looks very possible, assuming management turns down the offer and goes to negotiate with Philips for a 20+ price. If they become recalcitrant (without a counter offer in their pocket!) then they will get "bear hugged" by Philips and lose it all at $ 17.
Maybe Al will surprise us all by turning down the offer and announcing a massive stock buyback, which should drive the stock price even higher! Isn't this what we all want? The buyback could always be cancelled if the market price exceeds $ 25+.
