Osama Bin Ladin told the US to get our troops out of Saudi Arabia or he'd declare holy war on us.

Not exactly.

What bin Laden actually did was to declare jihad, explaining WHY he was doing it. And yes, one thing he wanted was troops out of SA.

But the other key demand was he wanted the the suffering of the Iraqi people, a result of "sanctions against Saddam", to be stopped.

We have, of course, accommodated BOTH of these demands, yet AQ is STILL engaged in jihad against us.

Obviously, whatever bin Laden has to say has little connection with the truth.
