Tim, now you are just making things up.

Not at all, we've had a long run trend to more and more government control. Interruptions of the trend are fairly rare, and overall didn't happen under Bush II.


That's because we have grown much larger. Very small towns have very little need for gov't. Big cities have considerable need. You dream is that of an agrarian society.....the US left that long ago.....sometime in the 19th century.
