Thank you Frank. The name of the company acquired by Nortel is Shasta.

They are hoping that by combining the long haul technologies of Siara
with the subscriber access management systems of Redback, 1+1 will eventually = 3.

Of course Nortel already has certain long haul technologies to combine with their subscriber access management system. Maybe the acquisition of Siara does make them more competitive. They certainly paid a lot of money.
