For some reason, it is my observation that the price rises upon an announcement of a split and then drops at the time of a split. I believe it is because people like certain numbers and when the number of shares doubles, some will sell 1/2 the position to maintain the same ("magic"? )numbers.

As to fundamentals, I can multipy any number by any number as long as I have my calculator nearby.

As to plans to split: seems to me that these plans if they still exist may have been around when the stock price was racing towards the $ 80 - 100 mark last November. It does take time to plan these things, don't you know.

In an unrelated topic: wasn't there a push to change from the fractional system to a decimal system? That would sure help, particularly when splits are made.

Joe.
