LOS ANGELES, COMPUTER TELEPHONY EXPO, Mar. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Artisoft
(NASDAQ:ASFT) today announces that Alliance Systems, Inc., a leading
distributor and integrator of computer telephony products, will distribute
Artisoft's TeleVantage PC-based phone system.
Under the agreement, Alliance will make available to their customers a
complete computer telephony platform consisting of the TeleVantage software,
Dialogic BCP hardware, and an Alliant Industrial Grade Server.
Artisoft's new TeleVantage product will allow Alliance Systems to offer a
full-featured phone system targeted to small-to medium- sized businesses and
branch offices. Alliance President, Jon Shapiro states, "TeleVantage is one
of the most exciting products to hit the CT marketplace. Finally in the
industry there is a product that is feature-rich and reliable enough to
replace the traditional PBX. People can bet their company on TeleVantage.
And, VARs will love selling it!"
TeleVantage, a PC-based telephone system, delivers intelligent features
not found in proprietary PBXs. TeleVantage is a completely integrated phone
system that helps maximize productivity while controlling costs. The PC-based
system combines ease-of-use, simplified maintenance and unparalleled
flexibility. It allows intelligent call management of every telephone call
received or sent.
According to Steve Manson, General Manager of Artisoft's Computer
Telephony Product Group, "This agreement with Alliance will position
TeleVantage as a forerunner in PC-based phone systems. The distribution and
sales channels that Alliance can offer Artisoft in the computer telephony
market will be integral to the market acceptance and success of TeleVantage."
A single TeleVantage system can support from 1 to 32 trunk lines and up to
96 extensions. Pricing starts at $750 for the server software and $115 for
each trunk or station port. TeleVantage will be commercially available in
March and will be distributed through Artisoft's computer telephony and data
networking VAR's. Artisoft will provide training and certification to
TeleVantage resellers.
