red wine wasn't my topic. You brought it into the pot topic already being discussed here.

Thanks for some links ..

I found this at the end of one link chase:

quote

Our study included 1,212 incident cancer cases and 1,040 cancer-free controls matched to .. snip

Our results may have been affected by selection bias or error in measuring lifetime exposure and confounder histories; but they suggest that the association of these cancers with marijuana, even long-term or heavy use, is not strong and may be below practically detectable limits. (Cancer Epidemiol Biomarkers Prev 2006;15(10):1829-34).

taken from here:

lib.bioinfo.pl

There have been many statements published where assumptions are made to arrive at pot smoking causing lung cancer.

They say something like: pot smoke has tar. Cigarette smoke has tar. So pot causes cancer. .. That's a lot of step jumping. Assumptions without data.

Then when the numbers are counted, the cancer cases don't materialize.

There are at least four studies where they counted how many cancers materialized. Every one came up with similar results. The cancers don't show up.

Now I'll start looking up the other ares of the link you directed me toward. It wouldn't surprise me to find more assumption based science there also.

I'm still weorking this one page you showed to me ..
