Russell: "I've applied the same technique of the 20 and 40-month moving averages to gold. Here we see the 20-month moving average holding well above the 40-month MA. Yes, RSI is in the overbought area, and MACD is in a high area. But the monthly histograms are in positive territory and show no signs of turning down. Gold is currently quite far above its 20-month MA -- the latter stands at 675, so it would not be surprising to see gold consolidate here."
