I am convinced that in our nation MORE individuals make a living in and around healthcare - per capita of population - than in any other nation on earth. Until this can be addressed, the costs will remain unaffordable.

I think the solution would be creating (drums!) a government run, very basic, cheap - but functional - system. Having done that, massively deregulate everything else. Fire the armies of redundant bureaucrats. Allow markets to do their magic.

I know, it may be a challenge to prevent the "GovCare" segment from expanding and taking over. But, no need to worry, because it won't happen.
