At least when you "tax and spend", you have a chance to balance the budget, but when you "spend and spend" that is a recipe for disaster "tax and spend" - Clinton took our money "spend and spend" - GWB returned our money Clinton's balanced budget efforts were on the back of DOD. Now GWB is spending to return DOD to where it should be. National security costs money. You pay now or you pay later. If one waits too long you pay more later - in both dollars and bloodshed.
