C'mon Jeff, doesn't that new free "Chex-Quest" CD with 50 free hours just make you want to jump in again?

The Wall St. hucksters just don't have any other product in the Internet service space to sell besides AOL. They'll keep flogging it to the bitter $$end.

IMO, it will take the onset of a recession and the usual corresponding savaging of advertising budgets to knock AOL off its pins. Internet ads may do better than print in a recession, but only relatively. What if AOL was valued more like a print media property? Like maybe 1x sales?
