No. It's a watered down mess, because the Dems didn't have the backbone to do what they were elected to do. The Dems have 60 votes in the Senate and a large majority in the House and a Dem President. They just lack cojones. It's a shameful squandering of the public trust.

I think the dems can be faulted for trying to get bipartisan support for health care reform; that it was a non starter from the very beginning. Beyond that, in my experience, what you say doesn't reflect the reality of trying to get 400 people onto the same page.
