On the other side of that, after the clean up, we are headed for a time of prosperity not imagined by any of us. Y2K may even accelerate the Internet build-out in terms of demand for new boxes to replace all the servers, routers, bridges, hubs, switches, laser pumps, etc that will crap out due to embedded code in processors. If the problem is bad enough, the government will pay companies to repair the Internet. There are no sure bets, but the consistency and breadth of the Internet build-out over the next few years is the surest thing we have ever seen. As long as ASND hasn't sold anything during the last 3 years with non-compliant chips, they are going to be so profitable as to be indecent. jww
