Wall St. is The Great Discounting Mechanism.

NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE JUST HOW BAD OR GOOD THINGS ARE FOR MSFT RIGHT NOW -UNCERTAINTY!!!

Coupled with the uncertainties in the economy, interest rates, new presidential administration (without a full cabinet yet), still time for tax loss selling and no good new.

IMO MSFT's stock started it's undervaluation at the beginning of it's fiscal year in July when the company, while still in it's fight with the DOJ, announced lower earnings projection and a shift in it's businesses to the .net strategies.

The discounting of this undervaluation will end after the DOJ appeal is resolved and investor's can discern just how much their new initiatives will play out.

But there are no doubt trememdous potentials with ever down tick in the stock price. Let the bears have the remainder of 2000.
