CGI already has a presence in the USA through the acquisition of a small IT services firm that they made several years ago. That firm operated in the New England area. Originally, the focus was on providing software development and support to organizations using AS400 equipment. Later the emphasis moved to systems integration related to the steel industry in Central/South America and the USA. I'm not sure what they are doing at this time.
