Here are a few fascinating factoids I heard:

  • The sex robot industry is already valued at $100 million
  • The exoskeleton market is valued at $500 million
  • Korea already uses robots as prison guards
  • The first suit against a robot was recently filed in San Francisco. (It ran over a toddler’s leg.)

    • More than 1.4 million new industrial robots will be installed in factories around the world by 2019, bringing the total installed base to 2.6 million units, according to a report from the International Federation of Robotics.
