Network Appliance and Trend Micro Partner to Incorporate Anti-Virus Functionality Across NetApp Product Line
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 29, 2000--Network Appliance, Inc. (Nasdaq:NTAP - news), the leading provider of network-attached data access and content delivery solutions, announced today that it is partnering with Trend Micro Inc. (Nasdaq:TMIC - news), a leading provider of anti-virus products for the Internet gateway, to add anti-virus functionality to NetApp storage and content delivery solutions.
Through this partnership Network Appliance will provide hardware and operating system support for the anti-virus solution, and Trend Micro will drive integration, management, updates, and support. The solution will be available with Network Appliance(TM) products in the first half of the calendar 2001.
