Well, this is the source of our differences. I would seek a doctrinal way around the "exceptions". There was nothing pretty about the Albegensians being burn't alive in the tall corn; and 9/11 is still beyond comprehension.

The truth is..."religion" cannot be separated from ambition, power, culture, self interest, and so forth. Indeed, it derives from a natural affinity for groupism and self interest. This accounts for the fact that THOUSANDS of Christian sects have evolved from the "New" Testament. These sects interpret and dictate on the basis of ambition rather than on any reliance on the incorruptibility of source material.

Yes, many followers are tolerant. But a follower is still a follower. It has been said that many are called but few are chosen. And it has been observed that the sheep will always follow...
