Eric my company is buying compaqs and our is people don't care for price of the systems nor if it got intel, amd or cyrix inside. All they care is for tech support from compaq. And intel is already saying that they might try to kill pentium next year. Don't remember exactly but I think in the past intel was not giving any advanced wornings about killing the standard. Does not that sound that the message is directed to institutional investors who are currently taking money out of intel. It is given that amd will not take big chunk of the market away from intel but a small 10%-15% chunk would mean fortune for amd and huge drop for intel. Regards -Albert
