Kent,I'd be interested in the opinion of others on that also. My opinion is that it originates in the spirit, because that is the level/realm in which God works and exists, as opposed to the "psyche" or soul level (psychology, psychic, etc level). The Bible tells us that the faith we have in Jesus is a gift from God, so I don't know what to think about why some believe and some don't. ("For by grace ar ye saved though faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast..." Ephesians 2:8 and 9) God can see everything in our hearts and souls and I guess those who are willing accept the gift of faith in Jesus are the ones he gives it to. John
