Of course it is a proper use of taxpayer money. Are you saying that building roads is NOT a proper use of taxpayer money? This country needs roads just as it need an electrical grid.

This is a remark that could only be written by an ignorant liberal.

There is no profit motive for building roads. Building roads is a legitimate function for government.

If there is value in building a new electrical grid, the power companies surely will be willing to build it. 80% of the current grid is owned by PRIVATE utility companies, the other 20% is owned public utilities.

Why would taxpayers put money into this, yet another boondogle? If the utility companies say they need it, let them build it.

The country is broke. We don't have money to waste.
