>>>..... (which is why I continue to say that only
idiots look at NOVL as short-term).

The only thing that will make this stock good is the accelerated profitability track that
BFrank put the company on. Looking at the company's revenue/profit charts, it is very
clear that BFrank did a lot of work getting the expenses down and profit up. Very
good work. After the company gets up to 2 billion with high profits, the stock will be in
the twenties, and we can cash in. Just gotta hold your breath until then, or find
short-term positions in other stocks if that's your kick.<<<<

Yes, BFrank did a very good job in putting Novell on the right track. The street perception is that Novell needs an industry heavy weight CEO to lay the vision for their future in the Internet/Intranet market. An announcement of the CEO definitely will give the analysts some peace of mind.

I also agreed with you that Novell better off to stay independent. The industry have learned the good lesson of Windows monopoly in the last PC revolution. They will not let it happen again in the Internet/Intranet frontier. In my opinion, the Internet/Intranet market will be based on open standard. Therefore, the marketplace will be very fragmented, and the difference between the leaders and followers are only a few percentage in marketshare. A good example is the PC hardware market, IBM, Compaq, Apple, HP...ect. are key players In the PC market and their marketshare are only a few percentage apart. The ultimate winners are the once that know how to identify key market segments which have high profit margin. Compaq, HP did very well in the hardware server market segments. Novell is very well positioned to be one of the key players in the Intranet Enterprise market segment which is the best position to be in.
