An individual will be able to in effect live forever... why?

Not as a physical person, but as a digital copy or complete reproduction of oneself. Digital information can be stored in a number of ways. By taking a person's DNA and getting all this genetic information from them, their makeup can be digitized. Somehow though, we need to break down the brain. Least understood of all the organs. How does the brain store information? If we can crack that code, living forever can be attained... not physically but digitally. Imagine being able to learn and gain experience over hundreds and thousands of years... Imagine how smart you would be? That is, if you are worth digitizing in the first place LOL.

AND, if you are digitized, someone doesn't come along and carelessly format or alter the medium you are stored on... LOL.
