Ram, <It will settle eventually, maybe even by this afternoon! > I like your optimism. But, the way the last quarter have been handled so far makes me think that stockholders will be better served by the company being bought out by someone. I was expecting the discount to the book value to decrease because of the strong semi cycle and am unpleasantly surprised by the increase in the discount. UMC can buy this puppy back and retire its shares and even if they dump the rest of the business they will come out ahead. A buy out from CY, IDTI, or any player in the memory biz for that matter would do the stockholders a world of good. Rodgers is very value oriented - I wouldn't be surprised if he is looking at ALSC.
