I thought I heard a trader say that GE and Lucent merged, bought Ascend for $100 cash, absorbed COMS so they could parcel everything off but the stadium rights, bought Cisco 'cuz they liked the name, and now hold a controlling interest in Stanley Hardware's tape measure division. Yeah, I remember it now -- wasn't D.Lawrence spreading that rumor....? Where are those Cybercops when you need them? They must be out eating donutz somewhere -- wonder where they are.... -MrB
