Bi-Partisan Group Calls for Obama Question Time

PRESIDENT'S RIVETING EXCHANGE WITH GOP SHOULD BECOME A REGULAR GIG

demandquestiontime.com

(NEWSER) – A diverse group of bloggers, commentators, and political operatives have launched an online campaign to urge President Obama and the Congress to hold regular televised question sessions like the stunningly frank exchange Obama and GOP House members had in Baltimore on Friday. Demand Question Time, which calls for more dialog, less monologue, already has backing from all over the political map, including Joe Trippi, Mark McKinnon, Grover Norquist, Markos Moulitsas, Katrina vanden Heuvel, Ana Marie Cox, and Nate Silver.

“It's hard to imagine all of us agreeing on anything (except perhaps John Edwards' future in politics)," writes Mother Jones' David Corn, one of the founders,. "But we had an idea that transcends ideology—and cable-talk squabbling and blogosphere bickering."
