RNWK has many possibilities lying at its feet, but make sure you're buying the stock for the right reasons. One of the reasons that I currently like RNWK is because it is paying attention to a side of the business that small technology companies usually overlook -- brand-building. RNWK has a great branding effort going on, and I think that if they can keep it up it will pay off. Their ability to attract partners and build brand awareness is key to their success, and so far they've done a great job. But don't get seduced by technology. The fact is, the Internet is a great technology-playing-field leveler -- for everybody, not just the small guys. QuickTime hasn't gone away, and it's currently the multimedia playback standard for both Mac and Windows. It doesn't stream well yet, but the key word there is "yet." And don't fool yourself by telling yourself that "Microsoft is so far behind." If there's one thing that Microsoft has proven time and again, it's that they know how to come from behind.
