Hi Penni, I don't understand this possum shunning either. I think I'd prefer a possum to bats or mice in my attic, but there's no accounting for some people's taste. Speaking of mice, I have discovered that mice do not like bayberry candles, but they adore vanilla (at least I think that's what it was...it's just about gone-except for the wick.) Ah, country life.
Well, it's snowing like mad, I just ate half a batch of cookies that I made last night because the recipe said "kids love 'em". They did not, I did. Extremely easy to make...in case the cookie exchange doesn't call next year... 5 cups slightly crushed cornflakes, 12 oz. butterscotch chips melted in 1 cup melted peanut butter. Mix together, drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet...freeze for 5 mins.) They taste like the inside of a Butterfinger bar.
Wishing you and your family, and all the other witty and wonderful writers here at D.A.R., a very Merry Christmas, and a prosperous New Year,
