Zucotto Systems closes first round funding of over $6.5M with Alcatel Ventures as Lead Investor

Zucotto, a semiconductor company, is demonstrating their Java meets Bluetooth technology this week at CTIA

Zucotto Systems, Inc. announces its first round of financing in which it has raised over $6.5M. Alcatel Ventures is the lead investor along with other venture capital firms and private investors from Newbridge Networks (NYSE: NN) and Qualcomm (Nasdaq: QCOM). The round was significantly oversubscribed. Zucotto, a Bluetooth SIG member (www.bluetooth.com), will demonstrate their WHITEboard, and BLUEboard Development Kits, which combine Bluetooth and SLICETM, at CTIA in New Orleans this week. SLICE(TM) is Zucotto's Support Layer(TM) bolted to Sun Microsystem's (Nasdaq:SUNW) KVM.
