Do you think TR would have supported "universal health care" if he had seen the result of Medicare, which in less than 50 years has essentially bankrupted the country?

I've studied the history of TR pretty extensively, and I think it is about 100% certain he would not.

It is worth keeping in mind that when TR was in the WH he believed anyone who wanted to ought to be able to shake the hand of the president on New Years Day. A lot has changed in the last 100 years.
