Hi Sam,

Good post Thanks.

It strikes me that much of what we're hearing has been already discussed by Rick Hill.

His viewpoint was a lull that would maybe last a quarter of more but only a lull.

His mid quarter guidance bumped up orders by as high as 30%.So he sees the lull loosening.

The semi sector has become so much better at leaning out inventories, and not stuffing the supply channel or investing in excess capacity.

These are all excellent points from which to quickly recover form.

I for one have had much confusion as to wether Intel will come to the party with a digital device that will be as good as giving us mobile internet and miniaturized laptop computing.

This may well be the better mouse trap vs net books.

It may well take time to design and finally prove itself.

Surely by now they have the chips,in beta.

2012 may well give us lean channels and exciting new products.

It all will be good perhaps not robust but good.

We now have to accept this sector has matured and may not give us the old PC cycle boom bust swings.

In the past I enjoyed them as they offered better swings to go in and out.

In between, less robust growth has still very much built strong balance sheets. Balance sheets , that when sold through M&,offer up unusually large premiums are being paid.

I take this as the true value of these depressed stocks.

Thanks again you the good read.

Bob
