Gottfried!

A fellow e-man! I have a 333i with a pair of hand-me-down Altec Lansing speakers. No complaints with the emachine. I had a virus that caused me to have to reinstall everything from the CD rom, though. Not emachine's fault and they actually helped me when I called the help number.

Can't believe people fall for the ad s for "free computer" with $22/mo ISP for 3 years. You can get free ISP from AltaVista and NetZero. I have both as backups, although it's a pain in the ass having to move the banner ads, which seems to always be in the way. 36 mo times $22= $792 vs. $400 or $500 for an emachine without the gimmick. Maybe you get a printer and monitor with the $792? Still, a bad deal, I think.

Anyone have a strategy as to where to put the banner ads on the free ISPs so they intrude as little as possible?
