War costs money. We'd still have to pay for the massive amount of oil to keep our military moving, for example. If China stops lending us the hundreds of billions required to fight a large scale war with them, who else has that kind of money to lend us? Europe maybe, but would they?

Just think about it for a second. We're putting ourselves in a very strategically bad situation.
