. . . Livermore was very disciplined and had a very unique daily mode of operations. While he was trading he wouldn’t allow anybody inside his office nor would he accept any calls. He never accepted or gave stock tips. Finally, one of his most important rules is to never discuss how well or how poorly his trading was going. As soon as you start bragging about your successes, it adds more pressure for you to continue to perform well. It’s natural to want to speak of your good fortunes, but it’s imperative for your continued success that you don’t. . . .
