I remember you saying that you sang bel canto and meant to write back to you about it. I'm a very light coloratura soprano. My last vocal coach with whom I studied eight years and adored, liked the Marchesi bel canto method, and I did a lot of the exercises and techniques, but I never think of myself as a bel canto singer because I just never could achieve that gorgeous legato style. INstead I can bounce all over the place rapidly like a bug. I did a lot of Mozart and Handel, some Bach, early pieces with lots of ornamentation..

I would kill to be a full mezzo bel canto, I am green with envy. I did my junior recital with a wonderful mezzo and we did a couple of fantastic duets- which I can't remember the names of- I think one was Bach, the other a funny piece that's a take-off on virtuosity, very tongue-in-cheek--I THINK it was called Do re mi...
I would LOVE to sing with you some day! ALthough my asthma has pretty much ruined me for real singing.. do you still have the opportunity to sing?
