Rocky.

I gave Guy the paper's web site so thought maybe you may want to check it out. The Philadelphia's Enquirer adrress is www.phillynews.com. The article I was refering to was Chapter 4. Can't get the full version online; only a summary which doesn't do the series justice. (which is a real loss to any "non-Philadelphian" web surfer)

Anyway, the fact that you've mention the Sony/Matsushita mess, does nothing to appease me. Perhaps Iomega should have licensed to someone else maybe?.... Heck if Matsushita can do that to Sony.....
Ahhh, maybe I just too much of a worrier....

I do agree with Iomega becoming to Industry Standard. Not because their product is the best around (It isn't - Depending on what features one is looking for) but because they are pulling a marketing and advertsing miracle over there. Seems to me, Iomega has taken notes from Microsoft on how to make your product almost an industry standard despite the fact that better products exist in the market. (I personally HATED Win 3.11 and currently HATE Win95, but I can't help but use it.) Windows has, for all intents and purposes, become the standard.

BTW, Any thoughts on future competition from CD-R or Optical, storage systems. Most are are somewhat expensive now, but wait a little while.....Is Iomega investigating or looking at that avenue of storage solutions for the future??? I Think It should. And Soon!
