I was an option market maker and I strongly discourage you from being involved with options for any reason. If you must trade, trade on the short side during the bear. Don't trade.

During the bear you hold a portfolio of shorts just like you hold a portfolio of longs during the bull. You book above substantially away to take the positions in your short portfolio if you happen to get them. You never pursue a short especially in a developed down side which is apparent in something that has already plunged.

MFNX is a position portfolio short. It has to rise to pick your short. Chasing is wrong. This bear is the water torture type and you won't get the waterfall until the end maybe sometime late in 2000 or 2001. That isn't assured though because there is still much water in most stocks. No one wants the dry ones.
