I could think of many side applications for this Internet on power lines. The power companies can potentially read the meter in your home without having to send somebody out. That could save them tons of money. They can monitor power outage in your home. How about security system through the power line that can send an e-mail out if someone breaks in the home. After all each room in the home has at least one power outlet.
