Gary D: My sense is that a change in the market outlook per the timing model will be a signal to Brinker to pick a market top during strength (like a rally to new highs) from which to issue a sell signal near or at the market top. I doubt that a sell signal would be issued while the major averages are off 5% or more from their recent highs as they were at the close of this past week.

I also believe that next Friday's reading for the forward looking Columbia University CIB Leading Inflation Index will be key to whether or not another month goes by without change in market outlook per the Timing Model. A 4th consecutive increase in this index would be an ominous sign that the FED might raise rates in the short term by at least .25%.
