The Senate Report really nails him. It's actually astonishing. Kudos to the Senate for going to the trouble, but Wilson really did bring this on himself.

I can't help but wonder who at the CIA was in on this. Plame's boss "left" right after Wilson started his publicity blitz about the "16 words."

According to the Senate Report, as best as I can tell despite the redaction, Iraq DID TRY to buy yellowcake from Niger, so the 16 word were true. Certainly "true" in the sense of being based on good intelligence when Bush said them, and it seems to me that they remain true objectively even today.
