I saw that on UK TV this morning. A couple of points.

(i) The guy points his finger. You can see that on the link. In enlightened USA business circles, pointing fingers does not work as a good working practice and considered impolite. You accept responsibility for your own errors and work on correcting them. Pointing fingers only invites the possibility of thermo nuclear war with the USA of any countries considered suspicious of mass terrorist attacks. Not the right thing to do imho. Not even a safe thing for the CIA to do, never mind the terrorists.

(ii) Did the guy say he was backing the Republican party or the Democrat party? That could make some undecided votes swing.
