Life in the purchasing manager inflation trenches. Anybody who has any doubts about the demand pull/cost push inflation underway should read each manager's comments. Most of these managers talk a mean story: "we will buy from the f--g Chinese", but apparently haven't looked at the shipping freight indexes lately, or noticed the same thing (big price increases) is happening in China. They probably listen to Greenspan too much as well, as clearly this inflationary outbreak has snuck up on them. You'll hear a lot of whining too. manufacturing.net
