Watch Obama festoon the requests for the new nuke plant licenses with all manner of pleasing drapery about “cap and trade” and so forth. It’s meaningless. Good call by Alaexander Cockburn! Like clockwork, here's the headline on Yahoo news: "EPA plans to spend $2.2 billion on rescuing Great Lakes" So, as Obama's huge assault against the environment commences quietly, Obama is successfully able to smokescreen by throwing out a little bone to environmentalists.
