Ho ho, we call that a jillpoke, got to watch out for them when running a cat or skidder, they're part of why i prefer a larger machine in the brush even if it's a bit more unwieldy, because you sit up higher, beyond the range of many and able to see them all clearly ... plus bigger machines have heavier and more thorough guarding, pretty hard to run a stick through the rad ... but the first rule in the woods is to stay awake, and that guy broke it
Angst on the threads because juniors are lagging - they always do, this is normal ... then they start moving up one or two at a time, several have already done this ... if you guess right as to which the laggards will be, you can leave off adding them until later when something else pops sufficiently to take profit - i've got my eye on two or three, one especially, want more but think it'll wait for me, it did last year until mid-month or so and could be a little later this year imho ... just don't know yet which other play will provide the cash for the juggling ... which is minor really, just tweaking things around, i didn't pick up much this year that i'd hesitate to hold indefinitely |
