Tim, regarding ASND's recent drop and the "MM influence" topic we discussed recently, I can see two ways to interpret this sudden move in ASND:

1. This could be the "big boys" pushing huge short sales to force the price down for one last profit, buying in at the end just before the LU announcement;

2. We're hosed: No LU buyout. ASND is on it's own. More waiting for recovery of the price.

I'm becoming cynical and vote #1. This has been a heavily manipulated stock since I've owned it. I still very much like the company and products and think they will kick butt over the next year LU or no LU, so I'm holding my shares.

P.S. It sure felt weird to own ASND and short it on Friday during the ups/downs...

<<OT>> Can you explain the dynamics of stocks which go flatline throughout the day? I saw BAC do this a few days ago. Some HUGE seller wouldn't let the price above a particular point. Why wouldn't the stock tick down in such circumstances? Does the flatline mean there is very strong demand, just not enough to overcome the huge seller? Can you add perspective for me?
